Language learning has a lot of benefits, and can help open up the doors to many experiences. However, it can also be quite overwhelming and seem impossible. That’s why uTalk Challenge enables you to dip your toes into many languages, completing different topics whilst playing games and competing with others to be at the top of the leader board.\u00a0To help you on your language learning journey, our participants have a few tips and words of advice to help you kick start your experience.<\/p>\n
David recommends to choose a language you like and will be useful to you and start learning. The uTalk app is very good for starting the language combined with their interactive games\u00a0which you can go over and over to improve your speech. As you work through you start to understand how sentences are constructed compared to English and pick up what symbols above or below letters mean along with certain combinations of letters.\u00a0<\/span>It is hard work but as you progress it becomes its own reward.<\/span><\/p>\n Piotr\u00a0would like to encourage you to pick a language which you will enjoy or had some experiences with. “My first choice was Igbo language from Southeastern Nigeria. I visited Igboland in 2010 and I have friends there, so it was the obvious choice. I\u00a0<\/span>noticed that the more language games I play the easier they seem to be. After two months of practicing Igbo and Cantonese, in the third month I started to learn Greenlandic and I managed to achieve 2459 points out of 4400 within less than three hours!
