In this post, we\u2019ll show you ten different tongue twisters in ten different languages; can you say them all?<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many tongue twisters do you know in English? <em>Red lorry, yellow lorry<\/em> is a fun one, though perhaps a little easier than <em>she sells seashells on the seashore.<\/em> The good thing about tongue twisters is that they\u2019re a tool you can use when learning a language (they\u2019re often used for diction exercises because they help you practise tricky sounds) and, most importantly, they\u2019re fun!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve collected ten difficult tongue twisters from ten different languages for you to try out\u2014see if you can say them all without making any mistakes!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/utalk.com\/store\/scottish-gaelic\">Scottish Gaelic<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cL\u00econ l\u00e0n rionnach &#8216;s r\u00f2n l\u00e0n leanna.\u201d Meaning: A net full of mackerel and a seal full of beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/utalk.com\/store\/xhosa\">Xhosa<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIqaqa laziqikaqika kwaze kwaqhawaka uqhoqhoqha.\u201d Meaning: The skunk rolled down and ruptured its larynx. You draw a giraffe picture, an ugly giraffe picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/utalk.com\/store\/yoruba\">Yoruba<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cObo n&#8217;gb&#8217;Obo g&#8217;ope, ko f&#8217;iru Obo bo Obo l&#8217;enu. T&#8217;i ko ba tete gb&#8217;obo bo&#8217;gbe, Obo yio gbe o bo&#8217;gbe.\u201d Meaning: A monkey carries another monkey up the palm tree, put the monkey\u2019s tail in the monkey\u2019s mouth. If you do not quickly carry the monkey into the forest, the monkey will carry you into the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>6. <a href=\"https:\/\/utalk.com\/store\/finnish\">Finnish<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cVesihiisi sihisi hississ\u00e4.\u201d Meaning: The water spirit\/seamonster was hissing in the elevator. (This is another one to try a few times in a row!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>10. <a href=\"https:\/\/utalk.com\/store\/english\">English<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPad kid poured curd pulled cod.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonmagazine.com\/news\/2013\/12\/05\/mit-tongue-twister-trickiest-to-say\/\"><strong>This is unlikely to be a tongue twister you learnt as a child, as it was only recently created by researchers at MIT.<\/strong><\/a> It was created to investigate how speech errors are processed in the brain and by using it, the researchers found that there could be a connection between how the brain takes in information and how you then say it afterwards.
