When I was little, my grandfather taught me a couple of basic words from Macedonia. He never really got that chance to teach me the entire language because unfortunately he passed away a couple months ago. I felt like I lost my connection to him because I don't know his language and at his funeral the priest was singing and talking in a language I couldn't understand. I couldn't find any good app that could really teach me Macedonian. And here I am, Suprising my relatives with the language!uTalk CustomerAndroid  

Used this app the whole time I was abroad in 3 different countries as it has so many practical phrases. The app is straightforward and very easy to use. Plus, it has loads of languages to choose from. I found the slow pronunciation feature particularly helpful as it breaks down the words so it's easier to practice. Excellent and thorough! The 3.7 rating on here seems quite unfair; most complaints appear to be from people expecting more for free (and you actually can get a decent amount for free if you put the effort in). It's not really intended for 'dipping in and out of' like Duolingo or Drops, but as it's a bit more intense, I felt like I've learnt faster with uTalk than I did with Duolingo. If you're willing to put the work in, this is a solid app. And keep your eye out for decent offers too :)Mike ThorpeAndroid
