I’m moving to Canada soon so I thought it would be a good idea to learn French. I’ve been wanting to for years and tried many programs. I purchased UTalk awhile ago but hadn’t started with it and instead went with the much touted Babbel. Babble was boring me and wasn’t fun so I opened up UTalk. OMG! What a difference! I’ve learned more, it’s fun, I get to challenge myself, I love playing the games! Thank goodness for the snail feature! I like the speaking feature because I can hear the hesitancy and know I need to become more confident. The games are great and prove if you make learning fun and challenging you learn more, faster! Used this app the whole time I was abroad in 3 different countries as it has so many practical phrases. The app is straightforward and very easy to use. Plus, it has loads of languages to choose from. I found the slow pronunciation feature particularly helpful as it breaks down the words so it's easier to practice.
