Love being able to dip in and out of different languages comparing words and phrases. Very easy to use. Good to have some coins to start and get a taste. But subscribing gives me unlimited choice so I'm going to try that.MediamoteiPhone

This app has over 60 categories to choose from with helpful vocabulary and phrases. I already speak, read, and write Thai, but this app is helping to fill in vocabulary gaps. Also, I love the recall section where you test your pronunciation against a native speaker (both male and female recordings). The microphone doesn’t lie! If you are buying this for mass sentences, syntax, or fluency in a language, you will be disappointed. Check out glossika instead. However, if you are looking for helpful vocabulary and you want to work on your accent, this is a fun app to accomplish those goals. I think this is the best language app that I have found. I was looking for a while for an app that could teach you Latin, not Latin American. I can now say hello, yes, no, please, and other words in Latin.DontBeSherlockedAndroid  

This uTalk is a good deal because it is useful to both new learners and intermediate learners. The uTalk app is quite polished and it seems that the company is responsive. There are many words for new learners (I’m sure at least 1,500 words), plus many complex sentences that may contain up to 10-15 words (more sentences here than most other apps). There are English translations for the words and sentences, which are very helpful. The 65 lesson topics typically consist of 20-50 individual words or sentences. There are a variety of six types of quizzes with each topic—including very easy and very difficult quizzes. You need to be very familiar with the words to do well on the difficult quizzes. But you can skip the hardest quizzes and return to them later. Every app has strengths and weaknesses. All the language learning apps I have purchased so far are useful, but I like the format of uTalk better than the similar apps of Mondly and Learn&Play. The pronunciation methodology is better in uTalk than those other apps. Also, uTalk includes pronunciations from both North and South Vietnam for all words and sentences. Rosetta Stone has a different teaching structure than uTalk. RS is very good, but it is better to have some knowledge of individual words before starting with Rosetta Stone, or it may be too difficult for new learners. Even after using RS, this is a good app to have.uTalk UseriPhone  

I have absolutely loved this app. It’s the only app I have found that teaches the correct Egyptian Arabic instead of just general arabic and so far it has helped me so much to communicate with my husbands family however I have got so far earning coins to go into new topics and I am now at the point where I have completed topics so have no way of earning anymore so either have to buy coins or pay the subscription to continue which is very disappointing as I didn’t want to stop using this app

Never seen so many languages in one app! I only wanted Dutch and the vocabulary is extensive, well produced and clear. Haven't tried any other languages yet but may serve me well for an upcoming skiing holiday. BravoJosephiPhone

I was happy to find a language app that had Yoruba! Ended up becoming interested through having a close friend, and was bummed when my usual language apps had nothing for Yoruba. In just a day I've been able to learn a couple words. Not as fun as other game like learning apps, but actually able to retain what I learn from my 30 mins of studying. The price to me is great, especially with one area of words to try out free for a person to see if they like the app.Amanda JohnsonAndroid
