Really like this app for learning Latvian, can't find many other options but this one seems well made and good quality. My wife who is Latvian says the accent is very good. The one comment was that some of the expressions are more formal than you might use but I'm happy with that as she can teach me the slang! You get a free demo of two of the sections before having to buy anything, and it's about £40 for the whole language which is very reasonable compared to teachers, or you can just buy individual sections which I have done so far.helen1331iPhone  

I’m moving to Canada soon so I thought it would be a good idea to learn French. I’ve been wanting to for years and tried many programs. I purchased UTalk awhile ago but hadn’t started with it and instead went with the much touted Babbel. Babble was boring me and wasn’t fun so I opened up UTalk. OMG! What a difference! I’ve learned more, it’s fun, I get to challenge myself, I love playing the games! Thank goodness for the snail feature! I like the speaking feature because I can hear the hesitancy and know I need to become more confident. The games are great and prove if you make learning fun and challenging you learn more, faster! And thanks for showing me there is French and Canadian French!kodiwodiiPhone  

I am learning Brazilian Portuguese. I'm looking forward to see how this app develops. There are many features I love. It's great to hear the vocab in both a male and female voice that sounds natural. Thank you so much for not using the usual robotic simulated voices. The games are nice and I love that I can record myself easily and then immediately compare my sounds to those of the native speakers. This app is amazing. I tried so many apps to try and learn the language I want to learn and they did not even have them. I got very frustrated on till I found this app. I looked around the app and saw thousands of languages. A moment later I finally found my language. This language app is so good because there are so many languages and you can hear native speakers say the words so you know how to say the wrds properly. I'm also so happy they have Kurdish! No app has Kurdish and especially so you can hear the people speak so I'm really happy I found an app that has Kurdish in both dialects too!Zara9898iPhone

I was happy to find a language app that had Yoruba! Ended up becoming interested through having a close friend, and was bummed when my usual language apps had nothing for Yoruba. In just a day I've been able to learn a couple words. Not as fun as other game like learning apps, but actually able to retain what I learn from my 30 mins of studying. The price to me is great, especially with one area of words to try out free for a person to see if they like the app.Amanda JohnsonAndroid
