About Serbian

Serbian (српски, srpski) is the official language of Serbia and has official status in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also spoken in Montenegro, Croatia, and Macedonia. Serbian has two writing systems, Cyrillic and Latin, and its speakers use them interchangeably. Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian are all mutually understandable. Most Serbian vocabulary is Slavic in origin but there are also influences from Latin, German, Greek, Turkish and Russian.
