Learn Punjabi (Indian)

This is the language spoken in the Indian state of Punjab and is one of the 22 official languages of India. Punjabi uses different tones (high, mid and low) as well as stresses, both of which can differentiate between otherwise identical words. Indian Punjabi also uses many Hindi and English loanwords - like the English word ‘bus’ in the audio clip below. There is some mutual intelligibility with Pakistani Punjabi but interestingly they both use different scripts.
