Emirates Airline has launched an extended series of 45 videos to help passengers on all its flights grow confidence in learning languages.
The specially commissioned and exclusive language learning films are now available in 15 languages and allow passengers to learn the basics needed for when they land in a new country and want to say hello, travel around or order food and drink. Emirates tested out Arabic, German, French, Spanish and Chinese Mandarin, at the beginning of the year and then ordered 10 more languages from Korean to Russian.
uTalk’s lessons are part of a learning zone on Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment, ice and sit alongside courses ranging from photography to business networking, to provide practical learning that can be put into practice the moment the flight lands.
Brett Savidge, uTalk’s VP Sales and Marketing, said, “We’re delighted to be working with the innovative team at Emirates, the world’s biggest airline, helping to fulfil a crucial need for their passengers. This expansion allows us to help even more passengers make good use of their flying time and have some fun as well!”
The videos were made by Sussex-based media production company beechtobeach in conjunction with uTalk’s graphic designer Luke Henley and presented by Nikolay Suvandzhiev, a former children’s TV presenter from Bulgaria.
